One of the oldest settlements of the Massachusetts Bay area. Watertown’s name may have been derived from the fact that the area was well watered and filled with fish. For many years the population of Watertown was greater than Boston. 

There are many unique qualities about Watertown that set it apart from other towns like the safe community and its close proximity to Boston. In addition to the great atmosphere, Watertown also has the Armenian Library and Museum of America dedicated to the Armenian culture that sparks the interest of many.
